Through this website I’ll be reporting back to you on federal legislation and keeping you up to date about the many resources that are offered through my offices in Washington, DC, Centreville, Bel Air, and Salisbury. Kratovil Speaks with Local Farmers at Third Annual Farmers' Breakfast sponsored by the Chester River Association
02/09/10Yesterday, Congressman Frank Kratovil joined local farmers who braved snow-covered roads to attend the Chester River Association's third annual Farmers' Breakfast. The breakfast drew a crowd of farmers who are taking the lead in conservation and nutrient management, and Kratovil's remarks to the group focused on the need for policies that recognize the twin priorities of protecting the Chester River watershed and protecting and promoting agriculture are not mutually exclusive. Kratovil acknowledged that farmers in the region have made "great progress" in reducing pollution into the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
